AV Living Lab and BTC company, co-owner of AV Living Lab and one of the region’s leading commercial property development companies, were exhibitors at the Velo-city 2022 in Ljubljana. This year’s summit focused on the broader acceptance of cycling and micro-mobility internationally.

AV Living Lab and BTC company, the largest business, shopping, and leisure centres in the region, demonstrated their mobility-oriented real-world environment living lab, presenting their modern innovation capabilities and smart infrastructure, which leverages a human-centric and open environment to develop and commercialize new mobility solutions.

At the event, Andy Hunt Vodopivec gave a presentation about AV Living Lab. He explained the use and role of living labs, as they have become a powerful tool in testing innovative sustainable human-centric mobility. The presentation outlined the origins of AV Living Labs’ living lab environment in BTC City Ljubljana and how companies and businesses can use such a testbed to accelerate their innovative ideas and turn them into a globally deployed service or product.

Our stand held a signed jersey from Tadej Pogačar, a professional road racing cyclist from Slovenia, and an all-wooden bike made by Slovenian carpenters.

AV Living Lab sees cycling and micro-mobility adoption as an important way to reach the carbon neutral way of travelling and as a solution to decrease traffic congestion and pollution, and to improve health of citizens as well.
