The Minister of Public Administration, Mr Boris Koprivnikar, and his delegation visited Germany on 11 and 12 June 2018.
Within the scope of the visit to Germany, on Monday, 11 June 2018, Minister Koprivnikar and his delegation visited the BMW Center of excellence for autonomous driving in Munich. The visit is a part of Slovenia’s efforts as a Green reference country in digital Europe, which is aimed at improving business opportunities for the industry and quality of life for its citizens.
Minister Koprivnikar presented the achievements of digital transformation in Slovenia, pointing out the development of the three key ecosystems: the organizational by including all stakeholders; the international; and the technological in the field of high performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence, cyber safety, blockchain technologies, internet of things, development and innovation cloud, and the launch of 5G networks.
The representatives of BMW introduced their work, goals, and the campus, which they opened in April this year.
The Slovene delegation included representatives of the government and the representatives of the BTC Company and AV Living Lab, who are developing a partner ecosystem for autonomous driving. They introduced the advantages of innovations in the real-life environment, rich in content, people, and information for development of advanced solutions in connected and autonomous driving.
